Gorilla Planner

Editorial Policy

Last updated: March 25, 2026

This policy explains how Gorilla Planner produces informational content, what standards we use when citing prices and park rules, and how we handle updates or corrections.

Editorial scope

We publish informational content about gorilla trekking, safari planning, permits, logistics, and trip preparation in East Africa. We do not publish booking confirmations, legal advice, medical advice, or official immigration determinations.

Source hierarchy

For prices, access rules, park policies, and permit mechanics, we prioritize official wildlife authorities, tourism boards, park operators, and government travel advisories. Operator websites, traveler reports, and forums may help us identify gaps, but they do not outrank official sources for factual claims.

Review and updates

We review pages when official rates change, when park rules are updated, or when we identify stale guidance. When a page has been materially updated, we revise the visible updated date and the structured metadata for that page.

Corrections policy

When we confirm a factual error, we correct it as quickly as practical and update the page. If a claim cannot be verified with sufficient confidence, we either remove it, qualify it clearly, or point readers to the official source instead of presenting speculation as fact.

Commercial independence

Gorilla Planner may connect readers with licensed operators, but editorial content is not written around a guaranteed booking outcome. Our goal is to help readers compare countries, costs, and logistics with clear sourcing, even when that means highlighting limitations or uncertainty.
